Dundee Design Festival 2019 explores what a Liveable/Loveable city is by asking: how can a city use design to shape its future?
Wherever you are in the world, our Self-service Poster Playground allows you to be part of DDF19. Come and play with our custom designed variable typeface, shapes, pattern and colour palette. Create a poster to say something to your city and we’ll print it and paste it up in Dundee as part of the festival.
Join us for something completely different every night of the festival. We’ve created a series of fun and thought-provoking events based around our Liveable/Loveable theme. We’ll be questioning identity, looking to the future and hosting a design gameshow.
Caird Hall, City Square
Tue 28 May
Pecha Kucha Night Dundee, hosted by Creative Dundee, is a special night out, which now takes place in over 1,100 cities around the world. Dundee hosts the UK’s largest PKN and we’re excited to be at The Caird Hall for the first time, during Dundee Design Festival 2019.
Four designers each have two days to make products live at the festival. Watch them work, gain an insight into their design process and buy the entire range in a specially designed exhibition.
See ceramics, 3D printed jewellery, lighting and limited edition t-shirts by designers Steph Liddle, Lynne McLachlan, Kevin Sinclair and Jen Stewart.
